I saw a competition for Gothic horror and decided to write something for it. I had no idea what Gothic Horror actually was (arguably I still don't) but I had a go.

I later saw a competition for a 206 word short story so tried that.
A mysterious woman visits Dumfries. But what is it about her that people find so persuasive? And why is she so interested in the museum?

One night of the year Victoria is allowed to have her friends visit for dinner. But why is Gerald so disapproving? And why is he always so distant?
A horror story written for a competition. Entries had be exactly 206 words, one for every bone in the human body..
